J. Sam Armijo

J. Sam Armijo, an adjunct professor of materials science and engineering at the University of Nevada, Reno, has been named chairman of the technical advisory board of Novastar Resources Ltd. of McLean, Va.

Armijo, who holds a doctorate from Stanford, also is a member of the United States Nuclear Regulatory Commissions' Advisory Committee on Reactor Safeguards. He's a retired General Electric executive.
