Office Pavilion parent, Sierra Office Interiors join forces

Two long-time names in the office furniture business in northern Nevada have merged.

Dundas Office Interiors Inc., which operates Office Pavilion stores in Reno and Boise, merged with Sierra Office Interiors, a smaller firm owned by Steve Huybers, who has been in the office furnishings business in Reno for more than 20 years.

Huybers has become general manager of the Office Pavilion operation, said Patty Hegge, president of Dundas Office Interiors.

Office Pavilion is an authorized dealer for Herman Miller in northern Nevada. Sierra Office Interiors was not affiliated with a major manufacturer.

"It's a way of growing our business. It expands our relationships," said Tom Hegge, who with his wife, Patty, founded the company in Boise in the early 1980s. They expanded to Reno 12 years ago.

Office Pavilion employs 12 administrative, sales and service personnel at its Reno location, 5350 Capital Court.
