Jo Ella Barrie has been named program assistant for the northern Nevada office of the Nevada Public Education Foundation in Reno.
Barrie formerly worked for the Diocese of Reno and served as director of religious education for St. Albert the Great Parish.
She earned a bachelor's degree in English literature from the University of Nevada, Reno, and a master's degree in theology from St. Joseph's College of Maine.
