Obituary: Vernon M. Latshaw

Vernon M. Latshaw of Gardnerville died April 3, 2011. He was born on Nov. 3, 1923, in Sawtelle, Calif., to Carl and Pearl Latshaw. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and a Pearl Harbor survivor. He was preceded in death by daughter Jeanine Marie Latshaw. He is survived by his wife Betti; daughter Laura Latshaw of Sunnyvale, Calif., and brothers Kenneth and Wesley Latshaw. No service will be held. Inurnment will be at the Northern Nevada Veteran's Cemetery in Fernley. Memorial donations may be made to the American Lung Association of St. Mary's Hospice. Walton's Funerals and Cremation is in charge of arrangements.
