From this time on the Appeal will publish the telegraphic dispatches on its front page. For many years the people of Carson have gotten their telegraphic news from other newspapers, and from now on it will not be necessary to do so.

The battle of property owners and residents of Placer and El Dorado counties to forestall the Truckee River General Electric company in its purpose to use the waters of Lake Tahoe to develop power has culminated in a suit to stop work.

Have you heard of the "balloon barrage" in a miniature scale at Glenbrook this season? A Carsonite asked the gardener and found the air-filled bags formed an effective "barrage" against nocturnal raids by deer. The tethered, air-filled bags swing back and forth with any breeze, frightening the deer.
