California fugitive arrested in Lyon County on drug charges

Patrick J. Gregoire, 31, of Antioch, Calif., was arrested Monday afternoon after eluding Lyon County Sheriff’s deputies.

Deputies were dispatched on a domestic disturbance call on Pinto Lane in Yerington at about 3:45 p.m. Monday.

Upon arrival, a dark colored sedan, occupied by a male driver, identified as Gregoire, along with a female passenger, were backing out of the driveway. As deputies ordered Gregoire to stop, he rapidly accelerated away from the residence. Deputies initiated a pursuit, which ended several miles away after the vehicle driven by Gregoire lost a front right side tire.

Gregoire was arrested on suspicion of eluding, reckless driving, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of methamphetamine.

Drug paraphernalia was found after a search of the vehicle was completed. A small quantity of methamphetamine was found hidden inside a cigarette package on the driver’s person.

Upon intake at Lyon County Detention Facility, it was discovered Gregoire had an outstanding warrant out of California for being a fugitive from justice with a no bail hold. He was booked into the Lyon County Detention Facility with no bail hold.
