City: ‘Buy Local’

The City of Reno, which has launched a “Buy Local” initiative, is making a push for the program during the holiday season.

Consumers can access a map of locally owned and operated businesses at Reno.gov/BuyLocal. More than 70 businesses have signed on, and others can sign up through Reno.gov/LocalStores.

The American Express Small Business Saturday, a day on which consuemrs are encouraged to “shop small,” is set for Nov. 29.
