Kevin M. Ryan has been named chief executive officer of the Nevada Humane Society.
Ryan replaces Mitch Schneider, who served as interim executive director after Bonney Brown retired from the position.
Ryan, who has experience in animal welfare and non-profit organization leadership, previously was executive director for Pet Helpers in Charleston, S.C.
