Helix Electric recently announced the promotion of Cody Kinnison to vice president of operations.

In this new role, Kinnison will oversee day-to-day operations at the company’s Reno branch, managing multiple departments including estimating, preconstruction, service and construction, according to a March 23 press release.

Kinnison is also tasked with building and maintaining relationships with past, present and future clients, in addition to community leaders and trade industry partners.

“Cody has been an asset to our team since he started at Helix in 2018,” Victor Fuchs, president of Helix Electric of Nevada, said in a statement. “Passionate about our industry, Cody has risen through the ranks, holding nearly every position available for an electrician. He uses his experience, expertise, and leadership ability to guide the Reno staff through the varying phases for each project — ensuring a successful delivery and client satisfaction.

"I am excited to see how Cody continues to grow the Helix brand in northern Nevada and expand our impact in the region.”

Throughout his career, Kinnison has held numerous roles in the industry, beginning with a 5-year apprenticeship. He then became a licensed journey worker, subsequently becoming a foreman, superintendent, project manager, senior project manager, project executive, operations manager, and now, vice president of operations with Helix Electric.

Kinnison also serves as a committee member for the Associated Builders & Contractors Nevada Chapter’s apprenticeship program. As an avid outdoorsman, Kinnison and his family have enjoyed making Reno their home and spend a lot of their time together hiking, fishing and camping.
