The Economic Development Authority of Western Nevada will host its annual "New & Expanded Companies Welcome Reception" on Dec. 16 at the Peppermill Resort Spa Casino.According to EDAWN, roughly 60 companies that have chosen to locate or expand to the Greater Reno-Sparks region in 2020 and 2021 will be honored.“This special reception is your opportunity to celebrate quality job creation and recognize the many outstanding companies which are the backbone of our regional economy,” according to an EDAWN statement.Check-in for the event starts at 5 p.m., followed by the program at 5:30 and a networking reception at 6:15.The event typically occurs every year but was postponed in 2020 due to the pandemic.Go to edawn.org/news-events/events, or contact Sheila Imsdahl, Vice President of Investor Relations & Events at EDAWN, at imsdahl@edawn.org or 775-829-3704 to learn more and to register.
