Olympia Gaming recently announced the team that will oversee development and operations of Legends Bay Casino, currently under construction in Sparks: DeCourcy Graham, chief operating officer; Robin Nedza, chief financial officer; and Court Cardinal, regional president.

The 80,000-square-foot Legends Bay Casino broke ground this spring at the Outlet at Legends shopping center in Sparks and is anticipated to open in summer 2022.

Cardinal, president and general manager at Casino Fandango, has been named regional president leading both Fandango and Legends Bay Casino, which are both owned by Olympia Companies through its Olympia Gaming arm, according to an Aug. 24 press release.

A Reno native, Cardinal began his career in the gaming industry after graduating from the University of Nevada, Reno. In his 30-year career, he has opened two casinos from the ground up and contributed to the growth of casino remodels and expansions. Cardinal has been an integral part of the Northern Nevada gaming landscape and has served on the board of Independent Gaming Operators Coalition.

DeCourcy Graham

As COO, Graham will be responsible for managing and developing Legends Bay Casino, as well as all of Olympia Gaming’s existing and future projects. Graham has worked for Olympia Companies for 17 years as chief marketing and development officer. Previously, Graham served in various executive roles in the hospitality industry, including MGM Resorts and Las Vegas Sands. Graham was instrumental in the acquisition of the Legends Bay Casino site in 2007 and has spearheaded the master planning and development of both the casino and two adjacent hotel projects.

Robin Nedza

Nedza will oversee financial practices at Legends Bay and Fandango. Nedza has spent the last 20 years with Olympia Companies. Additionally, Nedza served as an assurance manager with Arthur Anderson, LLP, working with clients in gaming and hospitality, real estate and development, technology and utility industries. As a member of the American Institute of CPAs and Financial Executives International, Nedza continues to stay connected and keep up with evolving trends in the industry.

“We are fortunate to have an executive leadership team of this caliber to lead Olympia Gaming,” Garry Goett, Chairman and CEO of Olympia Companies, said in a statement. “Building upon the success of Casino Fandango, our team is excited to bring this new destination to the City of Sparks. The property will offer exciting gaming, dining and entertainment options unlike anything in Northern Nevada.”
