New businesses cut ribbons in Carson City

The Carson City Chamber of Commerce has kept its golden scissors sharp this month for grand openings and ribbon cuttings all over town. Residents have lots of new options for dining, shopping, and personal beautification.

Plato’s Closet
Owner Elaine Barkdull Spencer had a line out the door Thursday morning when she cut the ribbon on Plato’s Closet in the Carson Mall. She’ll have prizes and deals all weekend to celebrate her grand opening.

Salon Affinity

Bubble Tea Station Corner
Carson City’s newest hot spot to get boba tea had a quiet opening three weeks ago. The Bubble Tea Station Corner opens at 11:30 a.m. daily, and closes 7 p.m. Sunday to Thursday, 8 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
Residents can enjoy bubble tea and take selfies next to their photo wall at their 2073 E. William St. location.
