People: Gabe Legorburu named vice president at L&L Plumbing and Heating

L&L Plumbing and Heating has named Gabe Legorburu as vice president of the company.

Legorburu worked at L&L as a plumber from 2003-11. Then after graduating from University of Nevada, Reno, he worked as a mechanical engineer for 13 years before returning to L&L.

A highlight of his engineering career was when he was an engineer at Colvin Engineering, where he designed the HVAC and Plumbing systems for the University of Utah Football Stadium Expansion.

In addition to spending time on the consulting side of construction he was most recently a principal engineer at nationwide design-build firm, the Dennis Group. At the Dennis Group he acted as the responsible engineer for large industrial food processing plants.

His expertise includes plumbing, HVAC and utility systems such as hydronic cooling/heating, compressed air, steam and refrigeration. He also has done extensive work in energy modeling to analyze and design energy efficiency systems such as waste heat recovery systems.

Legorburu holds a master’s degree in engineering management from Ohio University, a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the UNR, and a Doctor of Philosophy in mechanical engineering from Utah University.

Legorburu is a licensed engineer in Nevada, California, Utah and Idaho.
