The Eddy House broke ground on its new 36-unit apartment complex to serve as a transitional living community March 5.

This project is part of the Eddy House’s $14 million campus expansion. The new facility is funded through the Home Means Nevada Initiative through the Nevada Housing Division and two local foundations. The new building will be located adjacent to the Eddy House’s current shelter facility via the existing parking lot on Willow Street.

Tolles Development is providing the organization with pro bono development and project management services. Cory Hunt, partner at Tolles, is on the board of directors for the Eddy House and has been involved with the project since 2022.

In collaboration with Tolles, Pinecrest Construction has been selected as the project's general contractor, complemented by the design expertise of CWX Architects.

The new building will be five stories tall and feature studio-style apartment living with kitchenettes and in-unit laundry. There will be a bike-sharing library and offices for on-site Eddy House support staff. The project is slated to be completed in spring of 2025.

The Eddy House is a nonprofit dedicated to ending youth homelessness in Northern Nevada.
