Edgar Roberts has been named director of the Nevada Department of Motor Vehicles, succeeding Ginny Lewis, who retired.
Roberts previously was administrator of the DMV Motor Carrier Division and has worked with the department for 10 years.
He earned a business degree from Truckee Meadows Community College and a bachelor's degree from the University of Nevada, Reno.
