Carl Kaufman has joined Employers, a workers compensation carrier headquartered in Reno, as vice president of IT governance.
Christopher McLauchlin has been promoted to vice president of human resources by Employers.
Kaufman previously served as vice president of IT compliance at Harry & David, a marketer of food-based gifts. He also has worked for IBM, Nordstrom and Arthur Andersen.
He earned a bachelor's degree in astronomy and physics from California Institute of Technology, a master's degree in astronomy from the University of Washington and a master's in finance from the University of Washington.
McLauchlin previously worked as director of human resources.
He joined Employers in 2007after working as a vice president of TeleTech, a business process outsource company, and as vice president of human resources for Newgen Results Corp., a TeleTech company.
