A program at Truckee Meadows Community College is one of three in the Pacific Southwest region of the Environmental Protection Agency to win certification to provide mandatory lead training for renovation, repair and painting contractors.
The industrial safety center in TMCC's workforce development division will begin offering the EPA-approved courses in September, said Scott Alquist, manager of the industrial safety center.
