State disciplines eight contractors

The Nevada State Contractors Board has revoked the licenses of four northern Nevada contractors that failed to establish financial responsibility. The board imposed other discipline on four contractors in the region.

Revoked were the licenses of Upton Services Inc., an air conditioning contractor in Reno; Carson Valley Garden & Ranch Center LLC, a landscaper in Gardnerville; Fairbanks Construction, a carpentry and painting company in Reno; and Darrell Easley, who did business as Classic Air Heating and Refrigeration in Reno.

In other action, the board suspended the license of Air Con Service Inc., an air conditioning and sheet metal contractor in Sparks, after finding the company failed to comply with the terms of a contract and failed to establish financial responsibility.

The license of Beautiful Landscapes, a landscaper in Reno, was suspended until the firm provides the board with a financial statement prepared by a certified public accountant.

BT Fabrication LLC of Sparks, a sheet metal contractor, was placed on probation for six months after the board found it failed to establish financial responsibility.

DLM Home Solutions Inc. of Fernley and Robert Marr Construction Inc. of Truckee will be required to provide the board with updated financial statements, and the financial limits on their licenses were reduced. The board said both failed to establish financial responsibility.
