Carson City Health Department’s food-service inspections for Jan. 7. All scores are on a 100-point scale, with points deducted depending on the severity of violations:
Brugo’s Pizza Co., 3228 N. Carson St., scored 100 points.
Kentucky Fried Chicken, 2523 N. Carson St., scored 100 points.
VRP Manufacturing, 4610 Arrowhead Drive, scored 100 points.
China East, 1810 Highway 50 E., scored 97 points. Water pooled inside a reach-in. Some utensil storage containers were dirty. The water level in the dipper well was too low. Knives on the magnetic knife racks were not clean. There was grease buildup on the sides of the grills, under the grills and on top of pipes running along the walls behind the grills. The ceiling fan guard over the three-compartment sink was dirty.
Siam Classic Thai Cuisine, 4250 Cochise St., scored 97 points. Two open cans of food were stored in the reach-in. Large batches of hot prepared foods were not cooled properly. Food produced in the facility and placed in the walk-in was not labeled. Wet wiping cloths were draped around the grill and food preparation areas.
Jack in the Box, 3665 S. Carson St., scored 93 points. There was no measurable chlorine residual during the dishwasher’s final rinse cycle. The ice scoop storage container at the main ice machine was not clean, corrected on site. The cabinet under the customer self-serve soda machine was dirty inside. The areas around and above the soda dispensing nozzles were not clean.
