Andy Cole has been named executive director of Barrick U.S.A., a division of Barrick Gold Corp.
Cole joined Barrick in 1994 and has more than 25 years of experience in processing, environment and operational management. He previously served as general manager of Barrick’s Goldstrike mine.
Bill MacNevin, currently general manager at Barrick’s Lumwana mine, will replace Cole as general manager of Goldstrike.
MacNevin has nearly 30 years of international mining experience, having served in management positions at operations in Australia, Papua New Guinea, Tanzania and Zambia. MacNevin will transition to his new role at Goldstrike beginning in February 2016.
Curtis Cadwell has been appointed general manager of closure sites. Cadwell joined Barrick in 1998 and has served in management positions in North America and Australia. Cadwell most recently served as general manager of Bald Mountain. He remains with Barrick in this new role following the sale of Bald Mountain to Kinross.
Michael Brown who previously served as executive director, U.S.A., has been named president of Barrick U.S.A.
