The Nevada Chapter of the Associated General Contractors of America recently named its 2021 Officers and Board of Directors, led by Marc Markwell of Sierra Nevada Construction, Inc., who will serve as board president. Other officers for 2021 are as follows: Chris Burke, First Vice President (Granite Construction Company); Jarrett Rosenau, Second Vice President (Clark/Sullivan Construction) and Ryan Greenhalgh, Treasurer (Titan Electrical Contracting, Inc.). Markwell is the Chief Financial Officer and General Counsel for Sierra Nevada Construction, which was first established 1988. Markwell has been with SNC since 2012 and a member of the Nevada AGC Board of Directors since 2015, according to a March 29 press release. “I’m honored to serve as AGC President,” Markwell said in a statement. “My father, Terry, served in this same role in 1980 and I am humbled that I have the opportunity to be a part of AGC’s multi-generational Chapter Presidents along with so many other distinguished families in Northern Nevada. “I am especially excited about serving this year as we continue to be confronted with never-before seen challenges brought on by the pandemic and look forward to engaging with the region’s construction industry and our community partners to see the Reno-Sparks area come back stronger than ever.” Also on March 29, the Nevada Chapter AGC announced its 2021 Directors and Ex-Officio Directors, who are as follows:
Directors: Seth Alexander (Ames Construction), Travis Coombs (CORE Construction), Shane Glenn (PAR Electrical Contractors, Inc.), Heather Hellickson (Tungsten Engineering), Kevin Linderman (Q&D Construction), Tom Pourchot, (Intermountain Electric, Inc.), Robert Sandoval (RHP Mechanical Systems), Johnnie Stolz (Omboli Interiors, Inc.), Steve Talafuse (Stitser Drywall), Kevin Weiske (Moody-Weiske Contractors), Mike Whittaker (United Construction Company) and Robb Wong (GuiDenby, Inc.).
Ex-Officio Directors: Jeremy Anthony (Basalite Concrete Products), Rich Casci (Sierra Rental & Transport Co., Inc.) The 2021 National AGC Governors from the Nevada Chapter were also announced March 29: Dave Backman (K.G. Walters Construction), Justin Ivory (A-1 Steel, Inc.), Frank Lepori (Frank Lepori Construction, Inc.), Deane Shaver (Shaver Construction, Inc.), B.J. Sullivan (Clark/Sullivan Construction), and Nevada Chapter Past President Bob Gardner (Gardner Engineering, Inc.).
