Reno, Minden contractors disciplined

The Nevada State Board of Contractors has imposed disciplinary action in two cases involving northern Nevada contractors.

J&S Floors Inc. of Minden surrendered its license, was fined $2,000 and investigative costs and ordered to pay $22,279 in restitution to a property owner.

The board says the company’s work was substandard, and it failed to establish financial responsibility.

New Faces Cabinetry and New Faces Granite and Marble of Reno was fined $550 and investigative costs and ordered to pay $10,000 in restitution. The board said the contractors’ workmanship was substandard. The licenses may be suspended if the fines and reimbursement aren’t paid.
