People: Club at ArrowCreek brings on 4 new staff members

The Club at ArrowCreek in Reno, which is amid a $50 million renovation project, recently brought on several new team members.


According to a July 16 press release, Breanna Gard was hired as the private golf and country club’s human resources manager. Previously, Gard served as the HR employee relations manager for Caesars Entertainment, working with 4,000 team members across three properties.


Gard received her bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Nevada, Reno, and is currently pursuing her master’s in industrial and organizational psychology.

Sean Duckering

 


Sean Duckering was hired as assistant golf professional. The Clovis, Calif. native received his associate degree in applied business with a concentration in golf complex operations and management from the Golf Academy of America in San Diego. He has five years of experience in teaching, club fitting and club repair, and is currently an apprentice in the PGA Program.

Whitney Yates

 

Whitney Yates was hired as restaurant manager; she has over 19 years of industry experience, according to the release. Most recently she served as general manager at Sandy's Pub and the Oasis Bar and Grille at the Resort at Squaw Creek. She holds a master’s degree in social work from North Carolina State University.

Luis Blanco

 

Luis Blanco will serve as The Club’s purchasing manager. The native Floridian started his hospitality career at Loews Portofino Bay where he held many roles including executive steward. Blanco holds a degree in hospitality management.
